What is it..? $30.00 as is..

Anyone know what this piece of décor furniture is called..?? It was found at a Goodwill and then bequeathed to me. I have not decided if I want to refinish it or leave as is.. More importantly is I want to identify what it is.! I can think of a great many uses for it.

It measures 32 x 10" at the top and tapers down from there. Definitely an accent piece of sorts just don't know what its called..? Anyone.

 SAVED...

Just needs a couple touch-ups, a second sanding on top and a clearcoat and viola from trash to treasure and another lifetime of usage.

Two new pieces added today, were headed for the landfill tomorrow.. some sanding and refinishing and all will be good, or if someone likes that shabby used look, leave as they are.

Working a piece.

Finally got some time and started working the piece found a couple weeks ago. The medium sized night stand. Started the rough sand to remove the finish and layer of paint under it. Hopefully will have this one done in a few days, but with these temps the way they are, it might have to wait a bit. Think I lost about three pounds just from sweating doing the top alone.

Some fine wood under there. Minimal dings and one stain to try and remove. Pretty good shape, this one should finish up nicely. Still got a lot of sanding to do though..

Lane Cedar Chest, $200.00

Lane Cedar Chest, another plucked from the potential pile of doom.. It simply amazes me what people are willing to throw or give away now-a-days.
